Juno S2000 – Sports 2000
New for 2007, Juno Racing presents the Juno S2000.
Based on the multiple race winning SS3 chassis, the S2000 has been configured to race at the front in the Sports 2000 championship. The car will be fitted with a version of the 2-litre Ford Duratec, an engine that has already been tried and tested in the Juno TR220 trackday machine.
The S2000 shares the chassis and running gear of the SS3-V6 and SSE-CN, therefore guaranteeing performance, durability, reliability and versatility. Indeed the S2000 chassis could be upgraded to CN or V6 specification giving you a car that could be raced in a number of championships during the same season.
Clearly the SS3-V6 has enjoyed the benefit of 400 bhp and big sticky tyres to achieve lap times like a 1.02.6 at Snetterton. For the S2000, the Juno team have produced new low-line bodywork and a tuned aero package to ensure that the chassis and aero will compliment the Sports 2000 engine and tyres.
